What a wonderful adventure this project was!
We took a house from the 1990’s and made it look new!
Let’s start with an AFTER Photo:
It was a journey to get to the gorgeous white kitchen you see above.
Now that it’s over, I KNOW the client will say the dust was well worth it!
We started out with a late 1990’s color scheme and a semi-open plan.
They definitely wanted the half wall between the kitchen and family room to come down.
However, see that little closet on the left, in the photo above?
That was a pantry, strange location for sure, but the client thought maybe it could stay?
I was asked to come over for an initial consultation for the kitchen. We were in agreement that it was time for an update.
The island was too small, the cabinets were a bit tired. The breakfast table placement was off balance.
They wanted it to feel more open and connected to the family room.
They wanted my help with a few ideas and new paint colors.
However, I saw so much more potential here! I just HAD to show them!
Nine foot ceilings, great natural light and a good amount of space…with some time put into a good floor plan layout, I knew this could be awesome!
I am so grateful my client trusted me and let me dream big for them.
Once I drew up a new floor plan and showed them the possibilities, they were excited, fearless and ready to move forward!
Dear S and B, Thank you for believing in me and letting me guide you on this design adventure!
Just for fun, I like to show side by side shots of before and after.
That way you can really get the idea of how huge the changes really are!
Look how much larger and open it is with the wall down!
Many thanks again and again to my wonderful clients!
We could not have done this with out Walsh Builders and Prestige Cabinets, their work is outstanding!
Oh…and a special thank you to my bud, Baxter, one of the client’s sweet kitties.
He loved to be in the middle of the action and did not mind the construction dust at all as long as he had his basket!
Are you ready for a beautiful kitchen? Do you want to open up your floor plan?
I would love to help you transform your space…and quite possibly, your life! :)
